Instructor Bio:

Kayla Fratt is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) and an ecologist. She's dedicated her entire adult life to working with dogs. Kayla spent years working in animal shelters with behaviorally challenging dogs before pivoting to training with conservation detection dogs. She now splits her time between her conservation detection dog organization, K9 Conservationists, and her dog behavior consulting business, Journey Dog Training. She shares her life with two crazy border collies who help protect wildlife by sniffing out scat, invasive plants, and more for scientists.

Module 1: Basics Skills Part 1

Module 2: Basic Skills Part 2

  •  Video Lesson 4.2: Car Trips. How to keep your dog comfortable in the car and prevent distracted driving.
  •  Video Lesson 4.3 Loose Leash Walking (LLW). One of the most common canine issues is dogs pulling on walks. Gear can help, but it doesn’t get to the root of the problem. We’ll show you how to teach your dog to walk politely on leash with plenty of slack so you can both enjoy your daily walks!
